Geography - River Walk
What a great trip today walking along the Western Yar. The children in Year 4 took part in a fieldwork trip so they could reinforce their learning from observing the features of the river as well as who interacted with the river.
From the onset, the children looked out for wildlife, what the river looks like and its features , vegetation as well as how the land was being used. From there, the children sat down and sketched a part of the river as well as annotating them. Finally, we walked along to Yarmouth where we saw the mouth as well as bridges, revetments and sea walls. Some of the children were able to point out where parts of the river had eroded.
A great day everybody.
